Born in Virginia and raised in the Bay Area's Walnut Creek and Moraga, Dr. Andrew Yang has been providing exceptional eye care for over 22 years. He earned his undergraduate degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from UC Berkeley in 1998, followed by his Doctor of Optometry degree from UC Berkeley’s School of Optometry in 2002.
Dr. Yang is passionate about building meaningful relationships with his patients, allowing him to deliver personalized care that meets their unique needs. With a comprehensive approach to eye health, he enjoys treating a wide range of patients, ensuring their visual well-being is maintained at every stage of life.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Yang is deeply involved in community outreach. He serves as a professional liaison for vision screenings at Pleasanton Unified School District and actively participates in his local church as an administrative deacon. Over the years, he has also dedicated time to youth ministries and teaching Sunday school.
When he’s not in the office, Dr. Yang enjoys traveling, playing sports, and cheering on Bay Area sports teams (with the exception of Stanford!). He lives in Pleasanton with his wife, who teaches in the local school district, their daughter, who is starting at UCLA, and their beloved Maltese dog.
Dr. Yang is excited to continue his career in private practice at San Ramon Family Eye Care, where he can provide the patient-first care that he values so much.
